Campus a new 6-story residence hall (approximately 182,000 ft2) was designed to house approximately 555 students. The project achieved LEED Gold Certification. The facility consisted primarily of ERUs, AHUs, FCUs, ACs, UHs, EFs, Chillers, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Cooling Towers, Boilers & DDC Controls. Test and Balance Corporation (TABC) provided complete test and balance services for the New Residence Hall at East Campus which located on the main campus of UGA.
In brief TABC provided the following: a review of the design documents and issued a follow-up report, developed the project specific TAB plan, design documents were color coded & numbered to cross reference the TAB plan, attended the Pre-TAB meeting, witnessed and documented the duct leakage testing, construction phase walkthrough inspections with report logs, maintained an on-going deficiency log throughout the project, complete TAB in accordance with the AABC standards, Commissioning assistance through the acceptance phase and seasonal testing post acceptance. This project received the Innovator Award for Best Green On-Campus Housing project (A national award given by Student Housing Business Magazine).
